Jimmy Wilson and the Pond

I used to know the Wilson family ,somewhere I have a photo of my old man having a pint with Tommy the dad in the John Warren old pub .Elsie and Tommy had sons Johnny ,Eddie and then of course Jimmy ,and also a daughter Mary .Before they moved to marlpool,they used to live in the cottages next to Codnor /Waingroves common at Codnor .To get on to the common we all used to run into their house climb on the sink and jump through the back window on to the common .
We were told or thought that Jimmy had fallen through the hard crust on the pit tip in to the smouldering waste beneath .poor soul !whatever .
Eddie stills lives next to the shops at Roper Ave.
