Marlpool Information Request

Nope, not guilty, DB. Here's what led up to my remarks above.

I'm searching for a twin i never knew i had, till a few years ago.

Since 1968, i've been followed around, on and off, by someone who appears identicle to me in appearance and clothing exactly. There are well over a dozen witnesses to this individual who deliberately makes out that he is i.

The witnesses, all unrelated to each other and placed in different years and parts of the Country, all relate the same procedure which he uses. The witnesses range from my Wife, father, work-mates, overman and sundry acquaintances.

He always appears driving a vehicle and always blue in colour. This ranges from a small van, car, flat-backed lorry and cycle. He deliberately draws their attention by waving enthusiastically to the witness(es), before travelling on.
I myself, have never seen him.

On the day in question, in the mid-1990s, by the side of Shipley Pond, my Wife, Daughter and myself were having a pic-nic by the waters edge, a couple of hundred feet or so below the block of toilets there.
My Daughter located something or other on the floor near the toilets and shouted me over. It turned out to be nothing in particular and as we walked slowly back towards the Wife, we noticed two elderly male pensioners were talking to her.
They'd walked away when we reached her, but kept looking back all the time.

They'd asked my Wife who i was. Then said to her - "It's Ivan (surname forgotten now, unfortunately), but it can't be", among several other bits of small talk.
At this period in time, i didn't know i had an unknown twin and was definitely put off, again, by hearing something related to that damn 'Doppleganger' activity again. The word - 'Doppleganger' was coined early on, by several work-mates. Who knows?

The day we rode up Old Coppice Side, on our bikes, after another visit to the Pond later, we rode slowly (and silently) past a pensioner in his garden, about a third of the way up, on the left, to the main Rd;
I honestly thought he was going to have an heart attack. His mouth fell open and he gripped the top of his fence tightly. Nothing was said between us. I just thought - "Oh oh. Not again".

I looked back several times and he still stood there following us with his gaze of pure astonishment till we turned on to the main Rd; and disappeared from view.

That's what occurred and that's why i'm searching for Marlpool 'Ivan', because i now know i have a missing twin, somewhere.

Whether the twin and the 'Doppleganger' are one and the same, we don't know.

Thinking of what one of the Pensioner's said - R.E. - "It's Ivan ?, but it can't be", does this mean that Ivan had moved elsewhere or was now dead?

Anyway, DB. Thanks for the names you have given me and we'll see what can be made of them and hopefully further light can be shed on this issue.

Is the Ivan which you mention, still at Marlpool Etc?
Azzabuv.
