I thought it may have been Pickersgill and Frosts, but didn't think Pickersgill was large enough to employ 130 people -I used to pass the firm every day on my walk to school-Turners one end of the bridge, Pickersgill the other, but I probably thought the building smaller than it really was, as it was overshadowed by Aristoc, which took up most of the street!
I wonder if Pickersgill and Frosts were the Derby firm referred to? Or did they take over at a later date?
