Some time ago i did some Family History Reseach For a descendant of the Pender family.
Robert Pender born Scotland 1861c living at Derby Child 1862 Derby
Robert Pender 1871c living Heanor
Son born 1871 Heanor.
Robert Pender 1881/91c Living Langley Mill.
As we know Robert was an Engineer and ran the the Factory which later became Pickersgill and Frost
1901 census still living Langley Mill But now a District Rate Collector aged 71.
It is my belief they closed the factory and it was then reopened as per the article that Sue has posted
