The Hardy Family of Heanor.
replied on: 2/13/2006 10:11:07 PM

Hi all Just found this link from Rootschat when I was searching for anyone with connections to my Hardy ancestors from Derbyshire. My lot came from the Kegworth/Shardlow area & were John & Sarah A Hardy with daughters Ellen b1864 & Harriett (my Gt Grandmother) b1868. Ellen married a George Morris, very inconsiderately I thought as this gives me Morrises & Jones on both sides, & went on to have six children. Harriett married into the Jones family on North Wales & also had six children, oddly enough each daughter had a child at about the same time! Must have taken some keeping up with for John & Sarah. My other reason for posting to the site is that I have a Marriage Certificate for a John Hardy & Sarah Richardson in April 1860 that I bought in error & wondered if it would be of any use to anyone else with hardy connections? If you think these are your relatives please contact me & I'll give you more info. Regards Mo
