Thanks- I have the Fred Thorpe book and know of this sale plan. It is the buildings that were there before this that I am interested in.

The land behind the gardens was consecrated
To be used for future burials but in the 1970's some was offered for sale to the residents whose properties backed onto it. It was purchased on the understanding that it could never be built on.
