Gaunt's used to have two places. One on Godfrey St just below the bank, I think thats where they did their printing. The other was a newsagents the other side of the gap at the side of the Town Hall.
On the opposite side of the road on the corner of the market,the shop used to be a mens shop. I think it was Harrimans. That was in the early 40s. Later on it was taken over by a chap named Barks who used to play for one of the Nottingham football teams. I think I've got that right.
