windmill on mill rd marlpool
replied on: 2/26/2006 2:22:53 PM Here goes with how I did it, On the home page left click on "Historical Mapping" Go to bottom right of the page to "Select Map" then click the arrow to the right of the "Select Map" From the options displayed left click on "19th Century:OS First Series" Above "Select Map" there are four options, left click in the white circle to the left of "Zoom In". This should put a green circle inside the white one Put the cursor over the map in the area od interest and left click. Repeat this until you find a recognisable area. Select the "Pan" control then back to the map put the cursor where you want the next map to be centred. By use of the zoom and pan controls you should find Heanor then move around to find Marlpool. The map can be saved by right clicking it and using the "Save Picture As" option. I use Windows XP and it is saved, by default, in the My Pictures folder. Hopefully the above will get the image you are seeking. My apologies if it seems a bit out of of kilter but I have just got up. I have started another run of 12hr nights on Saturday night. regards Phil |
