There is a thread under "miscellaneous" with the heading "Recreation Grounds"- covering all areas-I think the one opp Butchers Arms is mentioned.
I know someone who came off their motorbike there and made a gap in the hedge -that was in 1960 and the gap was still there a couple of years ago!!!

Hi all,

I'm writing to ask for information regarding the recreational ground opposite the Butchers Arms.

Plans have been submited to remove yet more land and build another road across the ground.

Objections have to be in place by the 12th April..

Information about the site, how it came to be, it's history would help..

And if you object, posting saying so, would also be apreciated..

It's bad enough that Children have few places to play safely.
