Can't tell you much really as I lived on Nook End so we didn't meet much out of school. And when there are about 30+ in the same class the same applies. He was always a pleasant lad, never aggressive like some of them. I remember once we were having a talk on gardening. The teacher asked where was the best place to get manure.Up went Derecks hand, "Well you get a dustpan and follow a horse and cart and when it" at this point the teacher called a halt to this answer.

abit more info on the Hibbert's. I ws actually born in my grandmother's house in berle ave, as well as my two brothers, stephen and anthony. We used to play at the rec which was at the end of berle ave, from there we used to go to the four trees, and then to bailey brook to play. my grandmothers neighbours were the Shelborne's and I think next to them was the Daykins, I played with a Jessica daykin. somewhere near us or next to us lived a charles handcock or somthing like that, across the road lived an old lady Lizzie, she used to collect the silver paaper out of the cigg boxes. up the top end of the street lived the a family name of Blacks or black??? my uncle trevor (page) he knew them, he still lives there but now no 11 berle ave. gosh the memories are there but to try and think is another story. but so far its good memories.

my dad was born april 1931. Is there anything you can tell me about my dad.......he passed away 16 yrs ago and was only 58. my mom is still alive and she is in an old age home, her dad was John Thomas Page. they all lived in Berle ave. Now as for Harriet, somewhere I recall a person by the name of Louis, that caould have been their son, hence the nickname Lulu, his sister might have been May, not too sure on that one either.

thanks so much for the quick reply. Im not too sure who peter hibbert was or is. I do know that my late father worked for rr some time ago when he was younger or he said that he had a relative that worked for them. On my grandfather's marriage cert says that his father was James Hibbert, and according to it at the time of the marriage an address was 5 Ray's ave, heanor, who lived there im not too usre on that one either. witnesses at the marriage was james hibbert jnr and nora hibbert, could that have been a brother of my grandfather and a sister or sister-in-law. my grandfather lived at 56 or 58 berle ave heanor
I had an aunt (my moms sister) she lived in codner, mill lane. ring a bell maybe??

Welcome Jentzz
This will probably be of no help to you whatsoever, but I worked with a Peter Hibbert at Rolls-Royce in Derby between 1955-1960 he lived in Flamstead Avenue in Loscoe,he had one sister Violet.I'm not sure where their family came from originally because the house in Loscoe was newly built.
Peter married a Derby girl and lived in William Street in Derby for a while,I lost contact with him when I left R.R.and the last I heard of him, was that he was living in Burnthouse Road back in Heanor.
His sister Violet married a Jim Bates from Hollywell Avenue in Codnor.
Peter would be aged about 68 now.
