Pallot's Marriage Index
replied on: 9/3/2006 10:18:27 PM As far as I know parents were not recorded until 1813 or thereabouts. Sometimes the odd vicar did note them but it was not the norm. Sorry but I don't know of any other index. |

replied on: 9/3/2006 12:01:08 PM Thanks Patrisia for double checking the index for me. Its frustrating because I cannot be sure which Hannah Slack it is! Isaac was born in Alfreton Derbyshire, and the index states the marriage took place in Heanor. Their offspring Ann Daws was born in Alfreton too, so I am looking for Hannah Slack born most likely in Alfreton. Are there any other marriage indexes that show parentage of the bride do you know? |

replied on: 9/3/2006 11:32:31 AM I can't confirm the index details or help with her parents but Phillimore's Marriages does confirm the marriage; Isaac Daws & Hannah Slack, 15 Feb 1803 at Heanor but no other details - sorry. |

Is there any further information available on index entries, as there is on marriage certificates i.e. brides fathers name? I am trying to trace the parents of Hannah Slack. Jen. |
