Marriage of Mr James Pender
The marriage of Mr James Forrest Pender, second son of Mr. Robert Pender, engineer, Langley Mill, to Annie Elizabeth, second daughter of the late Mr Joseph Letts, of Eastwood, was solemnised on Thursday last at St Chad's Derby. The service was conducted by the Rev. Edward Martin, M.A. vicar. The bride, who was attired in a gray costume, was given away by her brother, Mr. Robert Letts, Birmingham. There were four bridesmaids Miss R. C. Pender, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Askew (who wore dresses of heliotrope), and Miss Nelly Cornill and Miss Winnie Letts, nieces of the bride (who wore dresses of cream cashmere). Each of the bridesmaids carried a splendid bouquet, Mr W. Pender attended his brother and acted as best man.
