RMMee Moderator	bevin boys replied on: 10/5/2006 12:19:58 PM We certainly had Bevin Boys. I don't know how many stayed in the area. There is a book, Under the Crust, by J.B.Pick, which describes the author's experience as a Bevin Boy at the Shipley Collieries.
