Langley Mill/Aldercar School Teachers
replied on: 10/22/2006 7:27:41 PM

Sprocket already named a few, but here's my recollections from Langley Mill Infant School (Sedgewick Street) between 1978 and 1810.

Mrs Riley (headteacher)
Mrs Wain (secretary, still in the local area)
Mrs Brown (taught the "top class" retired shortly after I think. Lovely teacher.)
Miss Mills (Taught what was then reception class, long brown hair and seemed pretty strict)
Mrs Stevenson (played the picno, very pretty with brown hair, I think she had a maternity leave during this time)
Miss Bottomley...my first ever teacher. She was so young and pretty...I loved her to bits!

Mrs Price was a dinner lady...I thought she was wonderful. Her daughter turned out to be a friend of my big sister's. My friends and I went on "an adventure" to Mrs Price's house one summer holiday...she didn't mind that pupils turned up at the door!
