British Restaurant
replied on: 10/28/2006 4:29:05 PM With regard to who could use the facility, it was anyone with means to pay for the meal. No points were taken off the ration card. They must have been invaluable if you ran short of points on your card. The menus were fixed. The British Restaurants were run by a local committee under the guidance of The Ministry of Food. All the waste food was used by local pig keepers so nothng was wasted. regards Phil |
