HI JAQUI.I worked at the dairy and played football with your dad for the co.op I come from Eastwood but have lived on the isle of wight for the last 11 years STAN.

Sorry Stan have only just got back to this site after my husband died - will ask him next time and yes he did used to work at LM Coop before the war. I think I gave Robert Mee the photo of you all standing outside and of course I can't find it in the computer files at the moment.

And yes he missed a generation - one of Sam Fretwell's daughters married a Walters and it was their daughter who married Dr Jewitt

However it wasn't until I started doing family history that the penny dropped that the reason Dr Jewitt always asked about my dad whenever we went to see him professionally was because his wife was dad's second cousin.

Were you in the ATC with my Dad as well?

I will have to tell him you use computers and the Internet as he insists he wouldn't be able to do it as he is too old.

Thanks Stan - will get back to my Dad on that one. He is 82 and a bit foggy on relatives sometimes.

Am researching the Fretwells of Eastwood. According to my Dad Jack Williamson one of his cousins the daughter of Samuel Fretwell (he can't remember which one) married the Dr Jewitt who used to practise on Church Street. Any relatives out there? Any information as to names etc gratefully received.
