Heanor Hall / Ormonde Colliery
replied on: 2/6/2007 4:50:24 PM Hi Suz, yes I have - I do most of my research between GR and Ancestry. It was just worth a try to see if they worked together in the 1920's...I have details of relatives/wives/siblings of both of them, but I'm looking for a link between the two. Long shot, I know. Thanks Sue |

Heanor Hall / Ormonde Colliery
replied on: 2/5/2007 8:39:23 PM Hi all, my frustrating search continues !!! I am trying to find a link between Will (actually Thomas William, but known as Will) Sherratt c1885 born Biggin, Derbyshire and Thomas Brown c1891 born Codnor. I know Thomas Brown worked at Ormonde Colliery in the 40's and 50's until he retired in the 60's, but believe these 2 men worked together in the 1920's at either Heanor Hall colliery or, maybe Will Sherratt joined Thomas Brown at Ormonde also in the 20's. Any clues please? Thanks, Sue |
