Sureley the idea of having "tinned stuff" was to have it as a "stand by" to use whenever necessary -even if its 10 years after purchase. Remeber fetching bread from the corner shop - and it was still warm when the baker off loaded it. If you bought wrapped bread it was always in greaseproof paper -not sweaty plastic |
