Are we looking in the area where Regent conservatory, shed, greenhouse place was?
I believe it caught fire some years ago.
I remember that area before there was anything on it -the allotments were further down and there was the entrance to the Coal Wharf. There used to be a tip there (1950's) used by Lovatts (Langley) Pottery (and others) to dump their rejects -I still have a dish "picked" from there in the 1950's!
if this is the correct area I will delve into the memory bank for other information
Out of interest what are the new roads/site to be called?
