Where were all the pillboxes to be found in this area during (and after) WW2? Are there any left?

The only structure I seem to remember was a brick-built pillbox on Mansfield Rd. Heanor, about a third of the way up - on the opposite side and just below the upper entrance to Howitt St. The box must have been removed in the 1950s/'60s. during the building of the housing estate. Presumably there were more pillboxes than this one erected to support defensive lines along the roads, railways or canals.

For those interested, visit
http://www.pillbox-study-group.org.uk/
but there you will find very little mention of Derbys and Notts.
