PRETTY WEDDING
A quiet though pretty wedding was solemnised at Heanor Parish Church on Monday, the contracting parties being Mr George Flint, the only son of Mr and Mrs William Flint, of Daisy Farm, Heanor, and Miss Dorothy Millington, eldest daughter of Charles Alfred Millington, of Beeston Notts. The bride was attired in a plain dove coloured dress and picture hat to match. Mrs Raymond Fricker and Mrs Clive Smith (sister of the bridegroom), who were dressed in light navy costumes, were the bridesmaids, and Mr Tom Fletcher Millington, brother of the bride, officiated as best man, and gave his sister away. The ceremony was performed by the Rev J.Pike, B.A., and afterwards a reception took place at the residence of the bridegroom's parents. The presents were numerous and handsome. During the afternoon the happy couple motored to Dovedale, where the honeymoon is to be spent.
