What timescale are you referring to?

My great grandfather was a miner and owned a whole street of houses -face workers/deputies at the mines were considered to be well paid -also your relative could have bought his own house and been left the other one by his father.

If you put this request on the family history section you may get more response.

I have an aunt who is in her late 70's and was/is a member of marlpool Congregational church -she may have recollections of your family.
