isiah walker died in1949 at home then numbered 20 ilkeston road.in his will he left one house to his son john henry who i have no knowledge of and the other to harold his other son my granddad.my grt grandma annie(nee)binghamattended marlpool congregational all i can remember.my sister andi also went with her to sunday school.her daughter lily and annie used to sit near the back on the right.isiah was a pit deputy at ormomde until he lost his leg(i dont have any detail of this)c1911.he returned to the pit as a checkweighman. his obit says he was a founder member of heanor labour club (again no more details).
