replied on: 8/14/2007 8:26:39 AM Hello Russel, The site has noe been added to my favourites. I am residing the other side of Mansfield. My place and nature of my employment allow to monitor the Robin Hood Line movements. To be precise I am based on Coxmoor Road, about 100 yds from the level crossing. The coal traffic on the line has almost died a death. I have not seen any coal traffic this year but sightings have been reported. It took a couple of years to do but I have managed to see 66001 to 66250 inclusive pass along the line. Is there much coal freight running on the Erewash now ? I live not too far from both Welbeck and Thoresby pits. I suspect the coal is moved from those via the ECML at Newark. regards Phil |
