If my memory is correct, the layout was enter, through cloakroom, turn left Sammy Naylor's class room then the hall. Turn right, small kitchen area on left, Tom Kew's classroom then Mrs James at bottom. Across the playgound, a two classroom wooden structure with Eric Wain to the left and Bert Wade to the right. Old fashioned outside toilets that had that had that powerful smell of Izal disinfectant. Eric Wain got the nickname of Swoop through the use of a size 12 plimsol. This was the means of attracting your attention when you allowed your mind to wander. The impact of the plimsol got your mind and body back to the lesson. Once it was lifted up you watched it swoop on to the target with great accuracy. regards Phil
