St Lawrence stained glass
replied on: 8/17/2007 8:54:55 PM Hello again Ian (and Robert), Sorry - the ultimate embarrassment for an archivist/historian, I've got two of the windows confused. The Mayfield one is one of the two that has not yet been located, and that was referred to as "unknown" on page 1. I realised the error when I picked up the cartoon and thought I had mis-labeled it. The Robertson window was on the North side so was never affected by the Rebuild. It is still in the same place. No photo is on the thread as I am in the final stages of the church website which has a page for each window - hoping to have it launched by Saturday / Sunday. I will send Robert a copy of one of the photographs for you. Afraid it will be a low quality photograph as the high resolution image is still in progress... the window has to be photographed in sections and then pieced back to together in an image program.. the Robertson window is driving me nuts because it has a large section of red cloak that can only be photographed in the early hours during winter.. so got to wait a few months to finish it. |
