Suzard have you been able to sort out the confusion as to the parentage of Nathaniel and Charles (and possibly William?

The 1841 census gives them as not born in Derbyshire and then the 1851 census says that they are upated sons which I read to mean as adopted sons taken in conjunction with Ann Hunt being given as sister in law rather than wife of old Nathaniel(b1777/8)

I have hit a blank. To all intents and purposes if Nathaniel jun and Charles are really his nephews the trail comes back to the same grandfather but it would be nice to know.

I would also like to know where the money suddenly came from for both Charles and Nathaniel to become persons who own farms and beerhouses and lace making enterprises - employers - rather than the lime burners and stocking makers of 1841. Did they both marry money? Dorothy Dunn's father was a grocer so maybe that was where it came from for Nathaniel but Charles?
