1861 census for Heanor
replied on: 8/29/2007 12:17:11 PM I don't know if this helps but you will find that Heanor was included as part of Notts in the 1861 census. I do have the Heanor CDs as I was transcribing them for the DBY FHS; so if I can save you a trip to the library, let me know. BTW, you may be interested in this thread from the Brit Gen forum - http://www.british-genealogy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6610 It would be Sodd's Law that the names you are looking for are on these pages! |

1861 census for Heanor
replied on: 8/28/2007 10:38:43 PM Not being able to find my family in Heanor on Ancestry for the 1861 census I thought I'd look on British Origins as searching under a surname and parish is easier there only to find that Heanor was not one of the parishes listed. I know that Heanor St Lawrence baptisms are not always on the IGI but thought the censuses were complete. Will check in Heanor library on the films there but does anyone know why this is? |
