I remember rev.caporne coming to eastwood he was a bit like a male vicar of dibley his father was a high court judge, he wore sandalls on bare feet under his cassock,he ruffled a few feathers on the worthies of eastwood.He did a lot for the youth of eastwood running football and cricket teams STANLEY
