Wonderful Names from the past

There is a link with Pentrich and the Bacons however, in that Joseph married Sarah Pepperday who was baptised at the non-conformist chapel at Pentrich, as was her grandfather Joseph Slack, whose family de-camped en masse from Heanor and Codnor to be baptised there.

I will look further into a possible connection when time permits
