School mag 1965 The 3rd HGS Guide Company It is sad this may be the last account of the Guide Company activities as our members have diminished because of the reorganisation of the secondary schools in the district and there will be a further decrease as this becomes fully operative. Perhaps it will be possible to plan a new company to include all of the secondary schools, but at present this is no more than a pleasant thought for the future. 1966 The hopes expressed in last years reports have to some extent been realised. There is now in existence a Guide company consisting of all members of secondary schools in the area. The main core however is still the Grammar School. In January four girls from Aldercar joined the company, followed in may by girls from heanor gate, Aldercar, Mundy St and nottingham Girls High Schools. This has given the company a new lease of life, as owing to the reorganisationthe company had acquired a rather lob sided look. With this full complement, it is hoped that the company will forge ahead with new vigour. After 1996 through to 1975 there are no entries in the magazine referring to the Guide Company.
