Welcome to the forum Ashby mad,

Very often p.o.b. are entered as just Horsley or Woodhouse -sometimes you get Horsley Woodhouse in full.

have you clicked on the batch no and seen the other Alvey children baptised in Horsley Woodhouse???

Hello. Sorry but I am new to this forum and am not sure where this thread should go, so apologies if it is in the wrong place.

Basically, I was wanting to know if anybody on this forum knew anything about the ALVEY family of Horsley.

I have limited infomation from the IGI, which is Sarah Alvey christened in 1765 in Horsley (place of birth is given as Woodhouse) and her parents are John and Mary.

Many thanks.
