If Dorothy Edna did marry a Mr Bamber - Bamber is not a common name in the Heanor area - so there may be more possibilities of finding a connection through the Bamber name.

Harry Bamber was head boy at HGS in 1941 -who knows maybe a connection -and my friend thinks he became a school teacher in the local area.

There are only 2 Bambers living in Heanor listed in the local telephone directory
