It definitely isn't the house half way up Mansfield Road. And it definitely isn't on Elmsfield Avenue. (The Origin of Heanor Street Names only says that Elmsfield Avenue was named after the house "which occupies land in this area".)

However, I do now have a definite location, from a trusted source, though have still not seen it myself.

The house is still standing, though it is now three dwellings, and is on Grace Crescent, at the top of Mansfield Road. I'll be calling in tomorrow to take a look!
