Sue got a photo here my Dad sent me ...if I can get it posted on the site, I'd like your opinion of the era it was taken...

Dad says he was always told it was 'Charles West', b 1809 Loughborough...the family story goes that he was 99years when he died...I think we can say that wasn't quite right, all records indicate as you have previously shown he was around 82 when he passed our shores....looking at his dress I'm more inclined to think it is probably Thomas West (Snr) born 1835 Loughborough...for clues the photo on the back has "Gales Studios LTD, Branch 27 Clumber St Nottingham...it looks like it was a postcard photo ....

If I can get it posted on the site...(sorry I'm such a IT clutz) we might get few people willing to wage a a sportsmen bet as to when it was taken.
