1910 16th June H/ O, The beautiful grounds of “Elmsfield House”, lent by Mr and Mrs J. Holbrook will, weather permitting present an animated scene on Wednesday next, when a garden party and sale of work will be held in aid of the Heanor Marlpool and Langley Nursing Association Mr John Holmes “The grand old man of Heanor” will celebrate his 90th birthday by performing the opening ceremony.
