Earliest Derbys. Marriages by Name and Date
replied on: 4/11/2008 7:41:07 AM

Thanks for the info. Sue.
Much appreciated.
Would you please check one more thing on your Phillimore CD for me? Could you quickly look through the White mariages that pre-dated Joseph White & Ann Farnsworth's marriage date of 1742 and let me know if there were any White marriages with the following forenames - John, Edward, George, Samuel and Thomas for the men and Elizabeth, Mary and Ann for the women. Those seem to be the names that reappeared frequently over the generations.

You mentioned that I could find out more detailed information about marriages from the church records.
Could you please tell me where these records kept?

Again ... thanks.
Karen
