Phillimores Marriage Index
replied on: 8/14/2008 1:36:29 PM

I think I have a lot of those. I now have to find christenings for these people above. I am reasonably ok with the stuff I have to the George and Mary marriage but I am lost for his parents and siblings and their families.
Finding the parents of George (with some degree of certainty) would help a lot. There are pockets of Broughs in Ripley, Denby, Heanor and Langley Mill in all this. Difficult family to fit together.

Thanks for your help!

You're welcome. There are more Brough marriages after 1800 do you need those?

Sue,

You are amazing! Really appreciate it!

This is a very difficult family to piece together as there were so many of them and they used the same names over in a generation.

Thanks a mill!

Sue,

Would appreciate a look up for any Brough marriages in Heanor, between 1750 and 1800, if possible.

Much appreciated!

I have all 15 CDs of Phillimores Marriage Index for Derbyshire if anyone needs a lookup.

The parish records start in the mid 1500s for most parishes and go up to registation starting in 1837.

As mentioned in a previous message, Phillimores only includes to names of the married couple, the date of the wedding and also the name of the parish they came from if not from the parish where the wedding took place.
