Aldercar/Heanor Gate/Heanor Grammar

Does anyone remember the school plays at Aldercar, on the stage in front of the main hall? I was not in one myself but they were of a very high standard. The one I recall most is Hans Christian Anderson. At the time Mr Cliffe was headmaster and Mr Wriggly deputy head. Mrs Sheldon was headmistress. What a character Mr Wriggly was - if I remember right he was in the RAF when younger and when he shouted the room shook! He had an amazing sense of humour though and made everything sound interesting.
