replied on: 7/2/2008 7:26:26 AM I wondered about the reference to "Archer's death" I think it refers to a once great flat race jockey Fred Archer, who committed suicide on the 8th November 1886 at the age of 29. Only a week before this tragic incident at the King Billy. I've sent a copy of Archer's death to Robert. Jenny |
