Well, if it was Clara Holbrook, she, too, has in a small way added a little to the local history of the area, as there is a street named after her, "Clara Mount Road." She had a sister, Ella, after whom Ella Bank Road is named.
Like John Holmes, quite a lot is known about John Holbrook, who was surveyor for both the Heanor Urban District Council and the Butterley Company. His name crops up in the Society's newsletters on a frequent basis, so, if you want any specific background information, please let me know and I will see what I can do.
