Caera Anne![]() Quote | Reply | | Thank you for the invitation to visit posted on: 8/12/2005 2:41:30 AM Greetings, Your forum is well done and organized. I am duly impressed. Just disappointed I didn't find links to a room, as I am not so familar with only forum role-play. It is something I need to look over more. As I can see from here, it does have merit as you all have proven by good role-play. Again, thank you for your hospitality. Most sincerely, Caera Anne Gwynedd Kingdom of Caernarfon Alter Realm, Magick Section Our Forums |

replied on: 8/16/2005 11:23:43 AM Yes, and hopefully you will check out our role-play. As I for one appreciate the fast interaction and response found with in the room role-play. Waiting a few days or even a week for a response to a post, sometimes things loose their punch, so to speak, but am looking forward to seeing how this sort is accomplished. How do we exchange this? Do I need post my character sheet somewhere? Will need a few instructions to go with this. Also not sure how my character will arrive as she has not the ability to open a portal. So open to suggestions. Also any background on where this takes place, climate, time period, types of creatures normally encountered and any thing else you can think of. Caera |

replied on: 8/16/2005 6:04:19 PM Well, you don't have to post your char, If you don't want to. It's not really needed, but It Is useful. As for the fast interaction, we use aim for contact, and relaying info(like I'm done posting, or explaining something that was posted). PS. AIM Is free, If you don't have AIM, you can get It here: www.aim.com ,and I'll note you the password for the Dungeon forum. One of my char have the power to travel to other dimentians, and doese so often. As far as monsters go, unless we are In a world, that has predetermined monsters(wich will be stated before hand), you can feel free to use any monsters, normally we use Orcs, Groblins, Wyverns, and alot of other commonly used monsters. Unless otherwise stated, you could use your own monsters, and this includes, customized monsters, but In that case, you should write It down In the Ancient's Library forum(Like any special abilities, sells, exc.). After you get AIM, and such, I can explain more. My AIM screen name Is: Zoltor17 |

replied on: 8/16/2005 8:07:38 PM Doesn't anyone use ICQ or MSN? AOL is so invasive to download any of their stuff. Not sure if you are aware of the spyware that AIM downloads on to your computer. I am not sure about other messaging services, but AOL does store all conversations for one year, in addition it installs spyware that tracks and records every place you visit. And I did post my bio link here on your forum. As I thought about it, some might consider my character a monster and rather frightening to some. Caera |

replied on: 8/16/2005 9:02:01 PM No one uses ICQ, and I personally hate MSN, not to mention, the fact you need to use the MSN browser to use MSN mes, with AIM, that Isn't the case(The whole MSN messanger layout sucks). When I downloaded AIM, I don't think I got any spyware, but I wouldn't remember now, anyway I use a firewall, and a Virus Scan. Use Virus Scan on your comp after installing, If you're worried. I never had any problems with AIM, and I've been useing AIM for 15 years. Yea, I saw the link you left, I was just answering your question. AIM Is also more universal then the other message systems. |

replied on: 8/31/2005 10:58:41 PM Thank you for sending the password, it gave me opportunity to read over the threads. Not sure where my character might fit to any of them though and I realize I would need permission too before becoming a part of in progress thread. In thinking it over, our update or fill in posts on our role play board are a bit more detailed than yours. Then combine that with fast action in the chat room, our role-plays move much faster. You might find an example here. That is just one of many happenings that all tie together in our home. In that particular thread, the only NPCs are Joseph and Marie, the rest are real characters with players behind them. Caera Caernarfon |

replied on: 9/1/2005 5:13:06 PM The reason why yours is more descriptive, is becoese such info is usually passed through aim, thus surounding type info, doesen't need to be typed. I haven't needed to put a limit on npc creation yet(noone has abused npcs yet), but the average npc count for the forums are between 1-2 in a thread, not counting bosses ofcourse. also, you would be verey surprised how fast paced each thread is (excludeing the currently open thread in the dungeon, we are just on a break from that thread lol, we also have done quests after that thread was started, and now we're gonna be going back to that one). There are char pics posted at an art site as well so therefore most of the avi, and all other char pics, are infact the char. Also, I would hope your forum is alittle more fast paste, becoese we post as we are on a journey, and you use your forum to just summerise what happened in your D&D campaign/quest. As fas as your char fitting in, I don't see there being to much of a problem there, becoese the Dungeon thread, and here thread is made to fit any build/class. If you wish to be strictly DM run, I do have a forum for that, but I haven't had too many table top gamers join(mostly the free lance rpger, or people with custom char, useing the system of the game I created. |
