replied on: 8/30/2004 6:06:36 AM Hi I'm not sure if this problem is 'SOOOO' easy. If I'm good at mental calculations, the answer is 42. Is that correct? -The Big K |

Greek Quiz 4 u!
replied on: 9/11/2006 9:56:21 AM She had 21 boyfriends. Reasoning: 21 less one and then divided by four gives: 21-1=20/4=5 and 21 plus three divided by four gives: 21+3=24/4=6. Now putting the two together, 5+6=11 which is one more than ten, as required. Essentially the solution is found by solving the equation (x-1)/4 + (x+3)/4 = 11. |
