Find the least squares straight line for this data for the situation when it is required to predict the cost from EER. b. Give practical interpretations of the slope and intercept of the line found in part (a). N.B. a statement that the slope is the gradient is insufficient. c. What percentage of the variation in cost is explained by the regression found in part (a)? d. Test the hypothesis that the slope of the line is significantly different to zero and give your answer in a form that an educated non-statistician would understand. e.
