Don't worry NeedMathHelp ! I'll help ya

Let's start with 1st equation:
[y+(-3)]+2=4

Remember the rule: Solve the brackets first, starting with innermost. Like this->

[y-3]+2 = 4 (Got what we're doing here?)
=> y-3 = 2 => y = 2+3 = 5
Ans: y=5
--------------------
Now let's try second equation:
16=[n-(-2)]+(-3)
Again we follow the same rule: solve the innermost brackets first-
16= [n+2]-3 (this is because two 'minus' signs multiplied give a + sign. whereas '-' multiplied with '+' sign gives '-' sign)
Hence,
16=n+2-3 => 16= n-1 => 16+1=n => n=17 (ans.)
-------------------
On similar lines-
-10=[b+(-4)]+2
=> -10 = [b-4]+2
=> -10 = b-4+2
=> -10 = b-2
=> -10+2 = b
=> b = -8

I hope this helps ~
