| wearrecords Quote | Reply | | help please! intersecting circles posted on: 5/31/2006 9:30:29 AM hi there, writing a landscape design app, need help with a bit of maths that has (so far) beaten me... i have two circles that (probably) intersect, and i need to know the two-pairs of co-ordinates where they meet. i know the co-ordinates of the centres of each, and their radii. INPUTS: c1x, c1y, c1r, c2x, c2y, c2r OUTPUTS: i1x, i1y, i2x, i2y ideally i'd like to know the function that would return the four outputs from the six inputs, but an iterative method would do. much gratitude to anyone who has a stab at it for me. |
