Is there something lower than zero?

I know about imaginary numbers & negative values, but I'm having trouble grasping the concept.

Any explanation would be appreciated

There is something below zero in the theoretical mathematics world, such as negative values as you mentioned, but these numbers typically do not have any tangible existence. I mean to say that it is not possible in the material world to possess a negative amount of material. The concepts, however, do provide a vast quantity of meaningful utility when dealing with tangible objects. Hope this helps!
