Extracting components from fractions
posted on: 9/2/2006 2:37:21 PM

Consider x1, x2, ..., xn all real numbers.

I have xi / xj for all i ~= j.

Is it possible to deduce x1, ..., xn from these fractions?

Many thanks,

Does "x1" mean "x to the power of 1"? As in "x^1, x^2, ... x^n"?

They are just variable indices. so x1 to xn are just n different variables.
