Two equations with four variables
replied on: 9/19/2006 3:16:33 PM You have two equations and two variables x and y. Although not linear you should be able to get an answer. I will tell you that there are two sets of solutions, due to the quadratic nature of your first equation. Simply reagrange your second equation to get and expression for y, say. Then put this expression into the first equation to get a quadratic equation that you can solve for x. You get two answers. Sub these values for x into your second equation to get two values for y. If you get stuck I will help you further. |
