I love literature, sociology and philosophy but I am starting to go crazy reading this stuff. I need something else to poor my mind into. I really want to get into advanced math. I figure the only way to find the REALLY good books is to find teachers and profs that know what a good text is. I will not have any outside help so it is very important that I get books taht cover everything. I need algebra on up. Masters editions/teachers editions of textbooks, whatever I can get my hands on. What are the reference books that teachers use for themselves and what would a teacher reccomend in this "desert Island" situation? I am not stupid and I LOVE learning so I just need very thorough texts to guide me through. I am very interested in the theory behind mathematics as well so old school is good for me. I have alot of help books and schaums manuals but I KNOW there are better texts out there. Please help. please email me with any suggestions thanks!!!! Jason mccheerios@gmail.com |
